ELECRAMA 2025: Over 1,000 Exhibitors at India’s Largest Electrical & Electronics Tradeshow

Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association’s (IEEMA) flagship tradeshow, ELECRAMA, was held from 22nd February 2025 to 26th February 2025 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. This marked the 16th edition of ELECRAMA, which was inaugurated by Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of Power, and Housing & Urban Affairs.
ELECRAMA 2025 saw the participation of over 1,000 exhibitors from over 12 countries. The trade show recorded a total visitor footfall of over 4 lakh.
Schneider Electric was the event’s Sustainability Partner, Servokon was the principal sponsor and Aditya Birla Group’s Hindalco was the innovation partner for Elecrama 2025.
Technological Advancements in Electric & Electronics Industry Needed -Union Power Minister

At ELECRAMA 2025, Mr. Khattar emphasised the need for technological advancements in the electric & electronics industry. “I have talked about new technology and innovations. We will have to move ahead in that direction and make advanced power electronics – efficient transformers, power converters, smart grid solutions, etc.”, said the Union Power Minister. His inaugural address also discussed the need to expand India’s existing EV charging infrastructure through focus on fast chargers and battery swapping stations.
“Electrical and Electronics Manufacturing Key in Scaling Clean Energy”
At the inauguration of ELECRAMA 2025, the Union Power Minister said that India’s ambitious clean energy targets will be achieved on the back of electrical and electronics manufacturing industry. “With over 200 GW of renewable energy capacity installed and a target of 500 GW by 2030, India is making significant progress in sustainable energy adoption”, said Mr. Khattar.
He added that by 2030, India is poised to have a total of 800 GW of installed power generation capacity and that 50% of the country’s total generated power will come from installed Renewable Energy (RE) by 2030.
“Reimagining Energy for Sustainable Future”: Theme for ELECRAMA 2025

Similar to the previous edition of the show, ELECRAMA 2025 had “Reimagining Energy for Sustainable Future” as its central theme. Several exhibitors at the event showcased their solutions targeted at energy transition, e-mobility and environmental sustainability. This included many new, innovative products in the field of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure, Green Hydrogen, power infrastructure equipment for RE projects, and more eco-friendly variants of transformer oils and polymers.
ELECRAMA 2025 “Bigger, Bolder, Better” – Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025

While speaking at the launch of the event, Mr. Vikram Gandotra, President Elect & Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025, described the 16th edition of IEEMA’s flagship tradeshow as “Bigger, bolder, and better” than ELECRAMA 2023. He made this statement citing his expectation of over 15,000 buyer-seller meetings, about USD 20 billion worth of inquiries during ELECRAMA 2025. Business inquiries at the previous edition of ELECRAMA totalled to about USD 10 billion in value.“…ELECRAMA 2025 will showcase India’s expanding influence in the global energy landscape”, Mr. Gandotra added.
Show Records Growth in Terms of Visitor Footfall, Exhibition Area
ELECRAMA 2025 turned out to be a massive event with over 4 lakh visitors, significantly higher than 3.5 lakh visitors received at ELECRAMA 2023. Moreover, the exhibition area of ELECRAMA was about 81,000 sq.m in 2025 as compared to 70,000 sq.m in 2023. While speaking with CableCommunity, most exhibitors reported a good response from the visitors in terms of footfall and inquiries.
Co-Located Events with ELECRAMA 2025
5th Edition of the World Utility Summit

World Utility Summit’s 5th edition was hosted at ELECRAMA 2025. The event brought together utility CXOs, Government officials, consultants, as well as management from tech companies which offer utility-specific solutions. The event served as a platform for networking, discussions and exchange of perspectives. Topics such as effective integration of RE and Battery Storage Systems into the grid, innovations in RE and Green H2, decarbonisation, and digital solutions for utilities involving deployment of IoT, cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence were in the agenda of the World Utility Summit. Apart from this, discussions on the importance of distributed power generation, and modernising and strengthening of grids to withstand extreme weather and natural calamities were also a part of the event.
eTECHnxt Discussed New Technologies for the Power Sector

The 4th Edition of eTECHnxt was held along with ELECRAMA 2025. This forum discussed the role of new and emerging technologies and concepts for the power sector. The event discussed decarbonisation, and concepts such as carbon credit generation as well as trading. Apart from this, Round-The-Clock (RTC) RE was discussed at the event, and the need to integrate Battery Storage with RE projects to enhance supply reliability to the grid. The event also discussed building an ecosystem around Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) for nuclear power generation, in order to facilitate energy transition.
Change XChange Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet

Change XChange was a Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet, which saw the participation of over 700 foreign buyers from West Asia and North Africa (WANA), ASEAN countries, CIS region, US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. This event was directed at assisting foreign buyers to source their electric & electronics equipment needs from India, thereby aligning with the Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Domestic Buyers-Sellers Meet at ELECRAMA 2025

Domestic Buyers-Sellers Meet (DBSM) at ELECRAMA 2025 was directed at assisting domestic utility and non-utility buyers in addressing their electrical and electronics equipment needs. Over 500 domestic buyers were recorded at the DBSM. Several MSMEs were a part of the DBSM at ELECRAMA 2025.
Need for a Unified, Common Expo – Mr. Piyush Goyal
Speaking at ELECRAMA 2025, Mr. Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, suggested to have a common expo for the Indian electrical and electronics industry instead of having multiple trade shows. “Instead of hosting multiple expos, we must create a single, large-scale platform that highlights India’s capabilities and technology…[such an event] would firmly establish India as a global hub for electrical solutions”, he said.
