Highlighting his views on Cords Cable’s Q1 FY27 results, Mr. Naveen Sawhney, CMD of the company, said,The first quarter of financial year 2026-27 was good for us, except that some of the finished goods could not be dispatched due to the crisis in the Middle East. As far as the bottom line is concerned, the performance was much better. Overall, we expect strong growth in our revenues and bottom line”.

Further commenting on the company’s overseas business, Mr. Sawhney added that the company is expecting a quantum jump in its overseas business, which is expected to account for more than 20% of the company’s revenue. “Overall, we are confident of achieving a decent double-digit increase in revenue,” he said.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Chief Financial Officer of Cords Cable, said that during the quarter ended 30th June 2026, the company’s performance remained consistently strong. The company achieved sustainable top-line growth. However, due to the West Asian war situation volatility in raw material prices increased the cost of raw material consumption. Further, the non-availability of shipping lines also slowed down export turnover.

Despite these headwinds, the company improved its margins, supported by a favourable product mix and better absorption of manufacturing and operating costs. The company continues to strengthen its product portfolio by increasing the share of value-added and customised cable solutions,” Mr. Kumar added.

Commenting on the company’s future growth, Mr. Kumar said that production volumes and capacity utilisation are being optimised in line with confirmed orders, demand visibility, inventory norms, and prudent working-capital management. The company also remains focused on improving manufacturing efficiency through targeted debottlenecking initiatives and process improvements across its manufacturing operations.
