DICABS Wins Rs. 436 Cr. Cable Supply Order for Data Centres

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has secured a cable supply order worth Rs. 435.71 crore for supply to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Limited, Sterling and Wilson Ltd., and Blue Star Limited. According to the company’s stock exchange filing dated 5th July 2026, the order is to supply power cables for multiple data centre projects in Hyderabad, Telangana.
However, the company has not disclosed the exact owner of the data centre projects. It appears that the project owner is placing the order through L&T, Sterling and Wilson, and Blue Star.
DICABS to Supply Cables for Hyderabad Data Centre Campus
As per the contract, Diamond Power will supply High-Tension (HT) and Low-Tension (LT) power cables for data centre projects in Hyderabad. The order includes the supply of approximately 21.35 lakh metres of cables, comprising around 1.89 lakh metres of HT cables and 19.46 lakh metres of LT cables.
The company is scheduled to begin cable supplies in the first week of August 2026, with project completion targeted by March 2027.

Diamond Power’s contract covers the HYD22 to HYD26 projects, which together represent a combined capacity of 310 MW. The HYD22 to HYD26 projects are a series of upcoming data centre developments.
Commenting on the order, Mr. Umesh Chayya, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Diamond Power, said, “This order for the 310 MW Hyderabad campus validates our manufacturing capability, quality systems and delivery reliability for mission-critical infrastructure. This is amongst the largest Data Centre orders for Power Cables in the Country”.
Among these projects, HYD22 and HYD23 have been awarded to Larsen & Toubro, HYD24 and HYD25 to Sterling and Wilson, while HYD26 has been awarded to Blue Star.
India’s Growing Data Centre Market to Boost Cable Demand
Diamond Power highlighted that the expansion of India’s data centre industry is driving demand for power cables. The country’s installed data centre capacity reached approximately 1,700 MW in 2025 and is expected to grow by around 30% in 2026. The capacity is projected to reach 4 to 5 GW by 2030.
The company added that data centre EPC projects across India are expected to create a wires and cables market opportunity worth around Rs. 4,600 crore between FY25 and FY30.
According to Diamond Power, this growth is expected to drive higher demand for premium cable products, including Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) and Fire Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) cables, fire-survival cables, HT/EHV cables, and high-current LT cables.
