Cable and Wire Fair 2022- Exhibitors and Conferences
The 4th International Edition of Cable and Wire Fair was held from 18th to 20th May 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
More than 160 exhibitors showcased their products at the event. This included cable manufacturers, compound suppliers, machine manufacturers, chemical suppliers, industry software providers and other exhibitors. Apart from India participants were from U.S.A, U.K., Italy, Germany, Norway, Turkey and other countries. The participation from Chinese companies was limited this year compared to previous years.
Industries Exhibiting at the Cable & Wire Fair 2022
Indian Cable Manufacturing Industry: Major companies had their booths which included RR Kabel Ltd., Ravin Cables Ltd., Gloster Cables Ltd., Ducab, Laser Power and Infra Pvt. Ltd etc. Mr. Shreegopal Kabra, MD, RR Kabel was seen interacting with industry leaders at the company’s stall. Mr. Vinay Rathi, Director, Gloster Cables, was present at the company stall on all the 3 days of the event.
The fair included an Innovation Pavillion, where new and existing products by various cable companies were showcased. This pavilion had participation of cable companies including Cords Cable Industries Ltd., LS Cable India Pvt. Ltd., Apar Industries Ltd., KEI Industries Ltd. and Paramount Cables.
Cable Machinery Segment: Participation was soon from some leading companies – Parovi Machines, Assomac machines Ltd., Innotech Advance Machines, Kay Kay Industrial Corporation among others. Parovi and Innotech both showcased running models of their fine wire extrusion lines.
Polymer Industry: had most number of exhibitors starting with 3R Polymers, KLJ Group, Fine Products Pvt. Ltd., Dhingra Polymers Pvt. Ltd., Shakun Polymers Limited, Kkalpana Industries (India) Ltd. which has rebranded itself to Ddev Plastiks.
Industrial lubricants segment companies Metalube, Kemtree had good presence at the fair.
Insulation tapes suppliers included Strips India Pvt. Ltd., Ruby Mica, SRV International Pvt. Ltd.
Enterprise Software industry was represented by Advaris Informationssysteme GmbH, Germany, specialising in Cable design and manufacturing software.
Conference and Technical Session at Cable and Wire Fair 2022
The conference segment at the Cable and Wire Fair 2022 started with Inaugural session with industry leaders like KEI Industries Chairman Mr. Anil Gupta, Mr. Shreegopal Kabra- MD- RR Group, Mr. Vijay Karia-MD- Ravin Group, Mr. Anurag Pandey- Executive-in-charge- Global Wires, Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal-MD- Paramount Cables discussed about concerns related to low-quality cables, priority to safety and sustainable methods of operations.
This was followed a session on wire and cable industry outlook attended by Mr. Benoit Lecuyer- CEO- Prysmian India, Mr. Ashish Chaturvedy- Head-Marketing- Ducab, Mr. Abhishek Gupta- Joint Managing Director- Gupta Power Infrastructure Ltd., Mr. VK Bajaj-Sr President-Business Strategy and Innovation- Apar Industries Limited. In this session opportunities related to renewable sector and need to maintain safety and quality were discussed.
The second session was on Wire and Cable: Emerging Trends, Opportunities and Challenges whose chair included Mr. Parth Aggarwal-Director-Paramount Cables, Mr. Sameer Agarwal – Managing Director – G.K. Winding Wires Ltd., Mr. Varun Sawhney-Member (Core Management) – Cords Cable Industries Limited, Ms. Sonal Gariba Executive Director – Ravin Group, Mr. Sanjeev Atri – Head of Group – Tata Power DDL. The session had enriched discussion on need to shift Indian Wire and cable market from cost-driven to quality-driven, opportunities in EV sector and diversification business strategy were discussed.
The last session of the day was on opportunities in Telecom Sector and OFC Industry with speakers including Mr. R. Sridharan- Chief Executive Officer- Birla Cable Ltd., Mr. Naivedya Agarwal -Co-Founder -Runaya Group, Mr. Vipul Nagpal -Founder & Managing Director- Orient Cables (India) Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Girish Gupta- Regional Sales Head (India)- Sterlite Technologies Limited, Mr. Sivakumar Nagarajan- Commercial Director- Corning India.
Cable and Wire Fair– 2022 overall witnessed good footfall both at the exhibitor stalls as well as the conferences. The exhibitors expressed satisfaction on the opportunity this fair provided for one-to-one interactions with the customers and suppliers. The wire and cable industry being a tight-knit community, people were seen interacting warmly with each other after meeting in one place.
