Stelmec Appoints Mr. Mukesh Kanojia as Head-EPC Operations for Substations T&D Business

Stelmec Limited, a major Switchgear manufacturer and an EPC player, has appointed Mr. Mukesh Kanojia as Head of EPC Operations for its Substations Transmission Distribution business.
Educational Journey of Stelmec’s Newly Appointed Head of EPC Operations
The newly appointed Head of EPC Operations (Subsations Transmission Distribution ) of Stelmec, Mr. Mukesh Kanojia, received his Higher Secondary School Certificate from SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mumbai in 1996. He then earned his B.E degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, Amravati in 2000.
Mr. Mukesh Kanojia’s 24 Years of Career Journey
Early Career

Mr. Kanojia started his career in 2000 at Mumbai-based Marine Electronics and Navigation Systems MEANS Private Limited as its Service Engineer. He worked at MEANS for two years, where Mr. Kanojia handled automation for naval, cargo, and oil ships. He also worked with navigation equipment in the engine room, pump rooms, and on the deck.
Thereafter, in 2002, Mr. Kanojia joined Spradecom Electro Controls Pvt. Ltd. as its Project Engineer in 2002 and worked there for over three years. Spradecom is a system engineering which provides solutions for flat rolling mills. At Spradecom, his work responsibilities include planning, testing, and commissioning of Quality Control Systems (QCS) for Metal and Paper mills.
Mr. Kanojia’s Time With Larsen & Toubro
In the 25 years of his career journey Mr. Kanojia worked the longest, that is 10 years, with Larsen & Toubro (L&T). In 2005, L&T appointed Mr. Kanojia as its Project Procurement Manager. As the Project Procurement Manager of L&T, Mr. Kanojia handled procurement of various electrical and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) items for turnkey projects in the fields of oil, gas, water, cement, metals, power, and infrastructure.
Following this, he served as Project Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation EPC Contracts) in the company, where he was responsible for project execution, leading cross functional teams. He handled the engineering approvals, procurement, dispatch, installation, commissioning and handover for project deliverables.
Mr Kanojia’s Career at FLSmidth and Vikran Engineering & Exim
Mr. Kanojia joined FLSmidth Private Limited in 2016 as its Senior Manager (Procurement) and worked there for over 1 year. FLSmidth provides engineering, equipment and service solutions to the global mining and cement industries. At FLSmidth, he was responsible for heading the procurement team of the company for its Automation Business Unit (BU). Mr. Kanojia was involved pre order and post order activities for the company’s Automation Business Unit.
In 2018, Mr. Kanojia joined Vikran Engineering & Exim Pvt. Ltd., an EPC company, as its Deputy General Manager (Project Execution Head). He was promoted to Vikran’s General Manager of Projects (Water & Power) in 2021. His work responsibilities included bidding on the contract, obtaining the contract, resource requirements, execution of the contract with a budgeted Profit & Loss ( P&L) statement and overseeing the closure of the contract. Before joining Stelmec Ltd., Mr. Kanojia was working as Senior General Manager (Projects) of Vikran.
Brief Overview of Stelmec
Stelmec Limited was incorporated on 29th February 2000 and the company manufactures switchgear, meters, relays and Fault Passage Indicators (FPI). Stelmec is also engaged in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects.
The company has four manufacturing facilities in India, three of them are in Usgaon, Vasai and Andheri in Maharashtra and one is in Ullaria, Ahmedabad.
