Chennai Metro Floats Tender for Rolling Stocks for a Portion of Phase – II
On 23rd December 2020, Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) issued a tender notification for “Design, Manufacture, Supply, Testing, Commissioning of Standard Gauge Metro Rolling Stock (Electric Multiple Units) and Training of Personnel” for a portion of the proposed 26 km stretch from Light House to Poonamallee which comes under 118.9 Km phase-II Chennai Metro.
As per the DPR trains shall be driver-less.
