Addverb to Enter Humanoid Robotics, Set to Launch First Robo in 2025
Addverb Technologies Limited is set to launch its first humanoid robot in 2025. This robot will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to process large volumes of data, which will include visual, audio, and touch-based inputs.
With its Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, Addverb’s upcoming humanoid will be capable of performing a wide range of complex tasks across industries such as fashion, retail, and energy. It must be noted that Addverb’s humanoid will employ Jio’s AI platform and 5G services to function. Through this planned launch, Addverb seeks to enter the global humanoid robot scene which is currently dominated by companies like USA’s Tesla and Boston Dynamics.
Addverb’s humanoid, given its real-time processing of data, will be capable of adapting quickly to changing environments and performing a range of tasks, such as parcel handling, quality inspection, sorting, assembly, and disaster relief. The robot will also be capable of performing these tasks with ‘human-like’ efficiency and strength.
Commenting on the company’s plans to launch its first humanoid robo, Mr. Sangeet Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Addverb said “Our foray into humanoid robotics is driven by our ambition to eliminate ‘3D’ jobs — those that are dull, dirty, and dangerous”.
Founded in 2016, Addverb Technologies specializes in smart robots for warehouse and industrial automation. The company has its headquarters and its two manufacturing facilities in Greater Noida. Moreover, Addverb has R&D centers in both India and the United States. In 2021, Reliance invested in Addverb, and its solutions were deployed in Reliance’s retail, petrochemical and healthcare arms.
