Adani Transmission Bags Karur Transmission Project
Adani Transmission Ltd. (ATL), one of India’s largest private sector power transmission company has received Letter of Intent (LoI) for the acquisition of Karur Transmission Ltd.
The Karur Transmission Ltd. was incorporated by PFC Consulting. The project comprises Loop In Loop Out (LILO) of Pugalur-Pugalur (HVDC) line and 400 KV AIS substation in Karur.
Adani Transmission has won Karur Transmission project through tariff-based competitive bidding process. Adani Transmission will build, own, operate and maintain this transmission project for a period of 35 years.
The execution of this project by Adani will help evacuate renewable energy from the Karur-Tiruppur region. Estimated capex for this Karur Transmission project is more than Rs 200 crore.
