Adani Group to Invest 2,900 Cr. for New Cement Grinding Units in Madhya Pradesh

Adani Group is expanding its cement production footprint in India with the development of a new cement grinding unit in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The group has already acquired land for this project through its cement manufacturing arm, Adani Cement.

The upcoming unit will be developed with an investment of Rs. 1,500 crore and will have a production capacity of 6 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA). The project is expected to create around 300 direct jobs and nearly 1,200 indirect employment opportunities.

In addition, Adani Cement has submitted a proposal to the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) for setting up another cement grinding unit in the Ujjain district of MP. This proposed project is expected to involve an investment of Rs. 1,400 crore. The company is seeking approximately 70 acres of land for the unit, which is also planned to have a capacity of about 6 MMTPA and a similar employment potential of around 300 direct and 1,200 indirect jobs.

The aforementioned cement grinding units cater to the company’s target of achieving 155 MMTPA capacity by FY28 from the current capacity of 107 MMTPA.
