Polycab India Appoints Deepak Deshmukh as President & National Sales Head

Polycab India Limited has appointed Mr. Deepak Deshmukh as President & National Sales Head for its B2B channel. The company shared the appointment news through a recent LinkedIn post.

Mr. Deshmukh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, which he completed in 2004. He later pursued an MBA from the Indian School of Business, completing the programme in 2010.

He has over 20 years of professional experience. He began his career with Godrej Industries Limited in 2004 as a Senior Executive and worked with the company until 2007. He subsequently joined ECS Limited as a Consultant, where he worked for nearly two years.

In 2010, he joined The Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant and worked there for over three years. He then joined Grasim Industries Limited, part of the Aditya Birla Group, as General Manager in 2014 and remained with the company for over two years.

Mr. Deshmukh joined Hindalco Industries in December 2016 as Assistant Vice President – Strategy and Business Development and held the position until April 2018. He subsequently joined Novelis as Director – Strategy and Business Development, where he worked for over three years.

He later rejoined Hindalco Industries as Vice President – Sales. Before taking up his new role at Polycab India, Mr. Deepak was serving as Joint President – Head of Sales (Aluminium Extrusions) at Hindalco Industries.
