Coal stocks at Indian power plants continue to decline despite a 36% rise in daily coal supplies in October compared to the low of September’s 2026.
As of 7th October 2026, 107 power plants had up to five days of coal stocks. The rate of daily stock depletion has slowed from 0.243 MT in September to 0.116 MT in October.
