Tehri Hydro, Rajasthan Govt Sign MoU for 10,000 MW RE Generation

THDC (Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited) India, a subsidiary of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rajasthan Government on 15th April 2022, to produce 10,000 MW of Renewable Energy (RE). A sum of Rs. 40,000 crore will be spent over a period of five years on the project.

The RE Parks under this arrangement will be developed on barren, infertile land. A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) between THDC India and the Rajasthan Government through Rajasthan Renewable Corporation Ltd (RRCL) shall implement the project.

The MoU was signed between THDC’s CMD Rajiv Vishnoi and RRCL’s Chairman and Additional Secretary (Power) Subodh Agrawal.
