Tata Power Solar Systems Secures LoA for NHDC’s Rs. 596 Cr. Floating Solar Project
Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd. (TPSSL) has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation Ltd. (NHDC) for setting up a 125 MWp floating solar project worth Rs. 596 crore.
This project will be located at the Omkareshwar reservoir in Madhya Pradesh. TPSSL has won the contract for this project by means of tariff-based competitive bidding. This project will be a part of the larger Omkareshwar floating solar project, which is envisaged to be India’s largest floating solar park with a capacity of 600 MW.
TPSSL will complete this project within a period of 13 months.
Earlier in May 2022, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN), Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC), and Toronto-based AMP Energy have won contracts from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd. (RUMSL) to develop a 300 MW floating solar project in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis.
