Suzlon Group Wins 201.6 MW Wind Project, Order Book Reaches 5.7 GW
Suzlon Group has secured an order to supply 201.6 MW of wind turbines for Oyster Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd’s. wind energy project in Madhya Pradesh.
Scope of work in this order includes supplying of 64 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. Along with these WTGs, the company will also supply Hybrid Lattice Towers* (HLT) for this wind energy project.
The company mentioned in its press release dated 12th February 2025 that Suzlon’s order book has reached 5.7 GW, with Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers representing 59% of the total.
Commenting on the customers’ trust on the Suzlon Group, Mr. Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said “More customers are choosing us for our end-to-end expertise, from land acquisition and seamless project execution to world-class O&M services that maximise power generation and extend the turbine lifespan”.
*A Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower is used to mount wind turbine generator to the desired height. It consists of three components, namely a lattice tower, transition piece, and the tubular tower. The lattice tower is assembled on-site by welding steel profiles just above the foundation of the HLT tower, while the tubular tower forms the top part of the HLT tower. These two sections of the HLT tower are connected by means of a transition piece.
