Socomec Launches New UPS and Power Quality Meters
Socomec, an electric equipment engineering and manufacturing company, has launched DELPHYS XM, its new UPS, and DIRIS A-100/A-200 panel-mounted power quality meters.
Key Specifications of Socomec’s ‘DELPHYS XM’
Socomec’s new 3-phase UPS, DELPHYS XM, is available in the 300 to 800 KVA/KW range. DELPHYS XM conforms to EN/IEC 62040-1, EN/IEC 62040-2, and EN/IEC 62040-3 standards, and is suited for use in Data Centres. This UPS features a compact design, where upto 800 KW power can be delivered by a UPS occupying 0.8 sq. m of area, which as per SOCOMEC sets a ‘new industry standard’.
Upto 99% Efficiency in Smart Conversion Mode
As per the company, DELPHYS XM features ‘high-efficiency, reduced energy consumption and cooling requirements’. This new UPS functions with up to 99% efficiency in smart conversion mode. Smart conversion mode makes use of a monitoring algorithm to select the most suitable mode of UPS functioning depending on the line supply. DELPHYS XM can switch from line conversion mode to VFI mode without any delay (0ms). Further, when operating on VFI mode, DELPHYS XM has an efficiency of 97.1%.
Hot-Swappable Modules & User-Friendly HMI
DELPHYS XM features a modular design with 100 KW modules which are compatible with hot-swapping. This feature along with the UPS’ 10-inch touchscreen Human-Machine Interface (HMI) target to make DELPHYS XM’s maintenance easier.
DIRIS A-100/A-200 Power Quality Meters Launched for Data Centres
The company has also launched DIRIS A-100/A-200, panel-mounted power quality meters. The company has launched these systems for data centres and other critical infrastructures. These panel-mounted power quality meters, conforms to IEC 61557-12, IEC 62053-21-24, UL 61010-1 File E257746, ISO 14025 and EN50160 standards.
DIRIS A-100/A-200 quality meters can use MODBUS RTU over RS485, MODBUS TCP and BACnet IP over Ethernet to communicate. These meters feature 4 independent current inputs.
These power quality meters offer service monitoring over a wide voltage range (90 VAC to 600 VAC) without the use of any potential transformers.
DIRIS A-100/A-200 meters feature a ‘configuration wizard’, which assists in configuring the device. Apart from this Easy Config System software enables users to save configuration templates which can be later uploaded to another DIRIS A-100/A-200 power quality meter in case of replacement.
