Omega Seiki Mobility and Log9 Materials Jointly Commit Rs. 150 Cr to EV Charging Infra

Delhi-based EV manufacturer, Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) and Bengaluru-based Nanotech company, Log9 Materials, will jointly invest Rs. 150 crore by 2024 in EV charging infrastructure.

This charging infrastructure will be for deployment of Omega Seiki’s electric three-wheelers for last-mile connectivity. The companies plan to deploy about 10,000 of OSM’s ‘Rage+’ cargo electric three-wheelers in Tier II and Tier III cities by FY-24. Log9 Materials has already developed a rapid charging technology, InstaCharge, in collaboration with OSM.

Log9’s InstaCharge technology (DC) uses their proprietary ‘RapidX’ batteries which can operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C, and have an operational life of over 15,000 cycles. Log9 Materials’ InstaCharge charging stations can charge an electric three-wheeler fully in 35 minutes as compared to a charging time of upto 3.5 hours required using conventional electric three-wheeler charging techniques.
