BSES Inks Power Purchase Agreement with SECI for 510 MW Energy
Reliance Infrastructure promoted power distribution company BSES (Delhi) – has signed a purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to procure 510 MW of solar and bundled hybrid power.
Hybrid power is a bundled mix of solar and wind-based electricity.
As per the BSES contract, out of the total 510 MW, 300 MW is solar power and 210 MW is hybrid capacity. BSES shall purchase solar power at Rs 2.44 per unit and hybrid at Rs 2.48 per unit.
The solar and hybrid power is expected to be available to BSES discoms in 18 months after the signing of the agreement.
BSES is a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure and the Government of NCT of Delhi.
