L&T Secures 1,000-2,500 Cr. Order for Greenko’s Pumped Storage Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has stated in a press release dated 24th November 2022 that its Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business has won an order from Greenko Group to develop its Gandhisagar Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in Madhya Pradesh. The value of this contract is between Rs. 1,000 crore to 2,500 crore.

This order will be executed by a consortium, which will be led by L&T. Scope of work in this order entails the construction of an Upper Dam near Khemla block village in MP, an Intake Structure with an Approach Channel and a Steel Lined Buried Penstock. The L&T-led consortium will also be developing a Surface Powerhouse for the project, Draft tube tunnel, Tailrace Outlet Structure, etc. associated with Greenko’s Pumped Storage project. The existing Gandhisagar reservoir will be used as the lower reservoir for this pumped storage project.

This order has a completion period of 30 months.
