L&T Construction Wins Infrastructure Orders of between 1,000 and 2,500 Cr.

The construction arm of Indian multinational Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced that it has bagged various water, effluent treatment and other infrastructure contracts from in India with a combined value of between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 2,500 Cr.

As per details released by L&T through its press release dated 7th June 2021:

Orders for L&T’s Water & Effluent Treatment Business

Has bagged an order from Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board (BWSSB). The project is to Design, Build & Operate Sewage Treatment Plants & Intermediate Sewage Pumping Stations along with construction of main sewers for 110 villages in the Mahadevpura & Bommanahalli region (K&C Valley Catchment) of Bengaluru city. Scope of work of this order includes ‘survey, investigation, design & construction of 2 Pumping stations, 3 fully automated Sewage Treatment Plants of 34 MLD total capacity and main sewer lines of 132 km length with DWC, RCC and DI pipes’.

The project is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Orders of L&T’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business

L&T’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure business has secured an order to construct various facilities for the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) at Tarapur Maharashtra, to be completed within 42 Months.

L&T’s Building & Factories Business Contracts

L&T’s Buildings & Factories business has secured an order for constructing a new International Hockey Stadium with 20,000 seating capacity at Rourkela, Odisha, and for construction of Sports Infrastructure facilities at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The scope of work involves Civil, Structural, MEP and Field of Play (FOP). The Kalinga Sports Complex in Bhubaneswar is required to be completed in 15 months, whereas the Hockey Stadium in Rourkela will be completed in 12 months.
