L&T Construction Bags Over 1000 Cr. Order for Mauritius Metro Line
Transportation Infrastructure Business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged a significant order * from Metro Express Limited (MEL), Mauritius. The order is to extend the mainline corridor of Mauritius Metro by 3.4 Km, which involves the construction of a fully integrated light rail based Urban Transit System from Rose Hill Interchange towards Ebene reaching Reduit near the University of Mauritius.
As per L&T’s press release dated 11th February 2021, scope of work includes “construction of three new stations, viaducts & bridges, track works (with substantial ballastless track including plinth, embedded & grass tracks), DC electric Traction Systems, Ticketing & Passenger Information Systems and integration with road traffic through advanced signaling systems“.
