Havells Q3 FY 21 Net Profit Increases 75 % YoY
Havells India Ltd., an Indian electrical equipment company has announced its Q3 results for the current financial year 2021.
Standalone Q3 FY21 v/s Q3 FY20 Financial Performance
The revenue of Havells India during Q3 FY21 increased by 39%, reaching Rs. 3,166 crore, up from Rs. 2,270 crore for Q3 FY20. Net profit rose 75% to Rs 349 crore in the quarter ended December 2020 as against Rs 199 crore for Q3 FY 20.
Standalone Q3 FY21 v/s Q2 FY21 Financial Performance
Havells revenue grew up by 29% in Q3 FY21 as compared to Rs. 2,452 crore for Q2 FY21. Net Profit of the company has gone up by 19% in comparison to Rs. 325 crore for Q2 FY21.
Segment Wise Revenue Analysis for Q3 FY21 v/s Q3 FY20
Havells India had good growth for all its segments showing a clear bounce back from the Pandemic.
Switchgears: Revenue increased by a good 32% to Rs. 437 Cr. in Q3 FY21 from Rs. 331 Cr. in Q3 FY20
Cables: Havells had a good growth of 27% in its Cables business with a revenue of Rs. 905 Cr. in Q3 FY21 against Rs. 712 Cr. in Q3 FY20. This growth becomes even more significant when compared to the other two large players in the Cables business. Polycab’s Cables revenue grew marginally by 6% to Rs. 2,270.3 Cr. in Q3 FY21, whereas KEI Industries’ Cables revenue saw a 19% decrease to Rs. 599 Cr. for the same quarter in comparison to Q3 FY20.
Lighting & Fixtures: For its Lighting Division Havells churned a revenue of Rs. 353 Cr. in Q3 FY21 which is an increase of 28% from Rs. 276 Cr. in Q3 FY20.
Electrical Consumer Durables (ECD): Havells clocked an outstanding 46% rise in revenue to Rs. 783 Cr. in Q3 FY21, up from Rs. 536 Cr. in Q3 FY20.
Others: This includes revenue from Motors, Pumps, Solar, Personal Grooming and Water Purifier businesses. The revenue increased 53% to Rs. 176 Cr. in Q3 FY21 from Rs. 115 Cr. in Q3 FY20.
Lloyd Business Unit: The revenue increased 70% to Rs. 512 Cr. in Q3 FY21 from Rs. 300 Cr. in Q3 FY20.
Healthy growth is observed across various categories due to expansion of distribution footprint, including a dynamic online sales platform, robust supply chain and gains from unorganized sector.
