L&T Construction Bags Large Water and Infra Orders

The construction arm of Indian multinational Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged back to back Large* contracts for its Water & Effluent Treatment business and Buildings & Factories Business in India. The total value of each contract ranges between ₹ 2,500 to ₹ 5,000 crore.

L&T’s Water & Effluent Treatment Business Bags to Large Orders

The Water & Effluent Treatment Business of L&T Construction has secured an order from the State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM), Uttar Pradesh. As per the scope of work, L&T shall do the construction of tube wells, pump houses cum chlorination rooms, overhead tanks, treatment systems, solar plants, rising main & distribution pipeline network, staff quarters, individual house connections, etc. including allied electromechanical & automation works. This order shall ensure rural water supply catering to 1900 villages in the Prayagraj Revenue Division of Prayagraj district, Uttar Pradesh.

Further, the Smart Water Infrastructure segment of the Water & Effluent Treatment Business has bagged a contract for an integrated infrastructure project from Silvassa Smart City Limited. The scope of work includes constructing 68 Km of smart roads along with storm water drains, cross drainage structures, 24×7 water supply system, sewage collection network and street lighting at Silvassa in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. This project is part of the Government of India’s flagship ‘Smart Cities Mission’.

L&T’s Buildings & Factories Business Secures Cuttak Hospital Infra Project

The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has secured an order for its Buildings & Factories business from the Government of Odisha. The EPC project is to construct clinical blocks & allied infrastructure for a hospital in Cuttack within 30 months.

The project involves construction of “four clinical blocks (B+G+9 floors) comprising composite structural systems & other ancillary buildings with a total built up area of 3.4 Mn Sq Ft. The facility will cover specialty departments such as Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Hepatology, Cardiology, Surgical blocks, Casualty, trauma & general surgery with a total of 2058 beds”, as explained in L&T’s press release.

Project Classification: The classification done by the company for order value is “Large*”.
