L&T and H2C Sign MoU for Industrial-Scale Floating Green Ammonia Projects

Larsen & Toubro stated in a press release dated 13th January 2023 that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oslo-based H2Carrier AS (H2C) for developing floating Green Ammonia projects in Asia. These projects will be built on H2C’s trademark P2XFloater hulls.

The aforementioned MoU specifies that L&T will be H2C’s Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning (EPCIC) partner for topsides (part of the floating project above the water-line) of floating Green Ammonia plants. L&T will be designing and fabricating the topside modules such as Nitrogen generation plant, Electrolysers and Ammonia synthesis unit for the production of Green Ammonia.

These projects can be situated in India or other countries in Asia.
