Sterlite Power Gets 305 Cr. Debt Funding for Kishtwar Transmission Project

Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd. has secured Rs. 305 crore as debt funding for its transmission project in Kashmir’s Kishtwar from Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited (AIFL), which is an NBFC – IFC (Infrastructure Finance Company). AIFL is promoted by Strategic Opportunity Fund (SOF) of National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).

Scope of work in this Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected project entails the construction of a 400/132KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Kishtwar. A 400KV transmission line between Kishenpur and Dulhasti will be developed for the evacuation of about 1,000 MW of hydroelectric power from Pakaldul Hydro Electric Project to the substation at Kishtwar.

The Kishtwar transmission project is being developed by Kishtwar Transmission Limited (KTL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) which was acquired by Sterlite Power in December 2022.
