L&T Secures Water, Effluent Treatment Contract from PHED Jodhpur

Larsen & Toubro, the Indian EPC major, has secured a significant* contract for its water and effluent treatment business from the Public Health Engineering Department, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The order is for executing a parallel carrier system to the Rajiv Gandhi Lined Canal (RGLC Phase-III) which will cater to the water demands of Jodhpur, Pali and Barmer districts. This project will also provide raw water to the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO).

Scope of work as per the contract includes 213 km of mild steel transmission mains for raw water, four pump houses including associated electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works.
