JSW Energy’s Subsidiary Wins 200 MW Hybrid Project from Maharashtra DISCOM

JSW Energy Limited’s wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Neo Energy Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for setting up 200 MW WindSolar Hybrid Power project. As per JSW Energy’s press release, the company will develop this project for Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

JSW Neo Energy has secured this Wind-Solar Hybrid Power project through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding in an auction conducted by MSEDCL.

Following this order win, JSW Energy’s power generation portfolio stands at 17.2 GW, which includes 2.9 GW of hybrid power generation capacity. The company’s aforementioned portfolio comprises 7.5 GW of operational projects, 2.3 GW of projects under construction across wind, thermal, and hydropower segments, and 7.3 GW of projects in the pipeline. Out of the projects in the pipeline, JSW Energy has already signed Power Purchase Agreements for 2.3 GW of projects.

Earlier in July 2024, JSW Neo Energy had received an order from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for setting up a 192 MW Hybrid Power project. The company had also won a 300 MW Hybrid Power Project from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Ltd. in June 2024. Recently JSW New Energy received an LoA from NTPC Limited for setting up 300 MW wind-solar hybrid power project.
