Intech Additive Solutions launches Made-in-India Metal 3D Printers

Intech Additive Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Intech), an Indian OEM developing and supplying 3D metal printers has announced the expansion of its range of metal 3D printers with the launch of new iFusion LF Series 3D Printers. LF stands for Large Format which means these 3D metal printers can produce metal designs upto the size of a cube 17 inches on all sides.

Intech’s iFusion LF Series 3D printers has been entirely developed and built at Intech’s facility at Bengaluru. LF Series 3D printers have a range that starts with a single 500W laser printer and quad laser configuration with 700W and 1000W lasers. iFusion LF series Large-Format 3D printers are integrated with Intech’s software suite for Metal Additive Manufacturing with a build volume of 450x450x450mm.

Expressing his views Mr. Pradeep Nair, Vice President, Hardware Sales, Intech, said “Indian companies have a huge interest in 3D Printers that build parts larger than 400mm. All these machines must be imported and are prohibitively expensive. There are other issues like long lead times for support and spares, making Indian companies ultimately settle for the less expensive mid-sized machines. The ‘iFusion LF Series’ amply fills this void”.

Technology Used In Intech’s iFusion LF 3D Printers

iFusion LF 3D Printers use Powder Bed Fusion (PBF), a 3D printing technology which uses laser to form metal parts. This 3D printing technique enables the manufacturing of a vast array of geometrically complex products using a heat source, mainly laser or electron beams to fuse powder particles layer-by-layer, therefore forming a continuous solid part.

Industrial Applications of Intech’s Large Format Metal 3D Printers

Intech’s large format 3D printers support a wide range of materials like Aluminium, Titanium, Steel, Inconel and Cobalt Chrome, addressing the needs of industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, General Engineering, Tool & Die and Medical Market Segments in India and overseas.
