Indian Exhibitors Showcase Key Products at Wire 2024

Wire 2024, a major international tradeshow for the wire and cable industry, was held from 15th to 19th April 2024 at the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre, Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. This event was organised by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.

Even as the event was attended by numerous international exhibitors, there were 110 exhibitors from India which showcased their product portfolio and received substantial engagement. These included major names such as KEI Industries, Assomac Machines, Bansal Steel & Power, Ajex & Turner Wire Technologies, JLC Electromet, DDEV Plastiks Industries, Geekay Wires, H D Wire, HTL, KLJ Plasticizers, and more.

Ajex & Turner Display their Cable Dies at Dusseldorf

Ajex & Turner Wire Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Delhi-based manufacturer of wire extrusion tools and dies, displayed its Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) dies and Vitrified Nanocrystalline Technology (VNT) dies at Wire 2024. Ajex & Turner’s diamond-coated VNT Nano dies, are suitable for drawing Copper, Aluminium, Aluminium alloy, Nickel-Silver wire and Stainless Steel wires.

These dies were presented in a variety of variants at the event, such as PCD/VNT NANO square dies, PCD/VNT NANO oval dies and PCD/VNT NANO sector dies.

Assomac Exhibits Wire Drawing and Wire Pointing Machines

Assomac Machines exhibited its Straight Line Wire Drawing Machines (SLM) at Wire 2024. These machines offer wire drawing speeds of up to 28 m/s, subject to the variant of SLM and the wire specifications. “These machines provide remarkable drawing performance for Low/Medium/High Carbon Steel Wires, Stainless Steel Wires, special Alloy Steel Wires and Non-Ferrous Alloy Wires” as per Assomac.

Apart from this, Assomac also showcased its Wire Pointing Machine at Dusseldorf. This machine offers pointing rolls made of high-Carbon steel alloy, and it can be hand-driven as well as power-driven. “The machine is of Swiveling type with 12mm-0.8mm thickness of wires”, as per the company.

Sai Extrumech Showcases Single-Screw Extruder

Sai Extrumech, a notable cable extrusion systems manufacturer, showcased its ‘single-screw extruder’ at Dusseldorf. As per the company, this extruder is a result of ‘heavy research & development’. The gear box of Sai Extrumech’s single-screw extruder features Steel helical gears which are capable of handling heavy torque and thrust loads. Further this extruder has been designed to optimize space usage by virtue of its compact construction.

KEI Industries Showcases its Steel Wire Products at Wire 2024

KEI Industries, a major manufacturer of cables and wires, showcased its Stainless Steel products portfolio at Wire 2024. This included Stainless Steel spring wire ranging from 0.1 mm to 5 mm diameter and fine spring wire ranging from 0.1 mm to 0.7 mm diameter, weaving & knitting fine wires used for making mesh screens and industrial filters, Stainless Steel ball bearing which is used for making needle and taper rollers in bearing applications, and more.

Geekay Wires Displays Stainless Steel Offerings in Dusseldorf

Hyderabad-headquartered Geekay Wires Ltd. displayed its product offerings at the expo. These included Galvanised Iron (GI) wires, cable armour wires, Steel wire used in core of Aluminium Conductor Steel-Reinforced (ACSR) conductors, Galvanised Steel earth wire, and more. Apart from this, the company also exhibited its range of Stainless Steel nuts and bolts at the tradeshow.

JLC Electromet Exhibits Speciality Alloys at Wire 2024

Jaipur-based JLC Electromet Pvt. Ltd. participated in Wire 2024, and exhibited their Nickel alloys, welding alloys and heating & resistance alloys at the event.

The company offers Nickel in standard grades such as Ni 200, Ni 201, Ni 205/ Ni 205 LC, Nickel-Manganese alloys in Ni 212 and Ni 211 grades, and Nickel-Copper alloys in JLC 400 and JLC 500 grades. JLC Electromet offers Nickel and Nickel-Manganese alloys in wire, strip and ribbon forms, and Nickel-Copper alloys in wire, strip and bar forms.

Apart from this, welding alloys were presented by the company at Dusseldorf. JLC Electromet’s has an extensive welding alloys product range which include electrode core wires, Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding wires and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) wires, and thermal spray alloys.

JLC’s heating and resistance wires are made of Nickel-Chromium alloys in different grades which are suitable for different applications from industrial-grade heating elements to domestic-use heating elements.

H D Wire Exhibits its Black Binding Wire & Annealed Steel Wires

Indore-based SS wire manufacturer, H D Wire Pvt. Ltd. participated in the Wire 2024 exhibition, and displayed its GI wires, high-Carbon black binding wire, high-Carbon rope wire for use in cranes, elevators, etc., amongst others.

Indian Polymer & Polymer Tape Companies at Wire 2024

Some of the major Indian polymer manufacturers that were seen at Wire 2024 included KLJ Platicizers, DDEV Plastiks Industries, and Rainbow Plastics India.

Ruby Mica, an Indian supplier of mica tapes and mica sheets also participated in the event. Sneham Taping Solutions showcased its range of electrical insulation tapes, and cable tapes at Wire 2024.

Wire 2024 Recorded over 1,500 Exhibitors, Wire India Scheduled for November 2024

Wire 2024 saw the participation of 1,518 exhibitors, which included international companies from about 60 countries and diverse domains such as cable, wire, cable and wire machinery, chemicals and polymers, and more. Out of these, 110 exhibtors were from India.

Further, the Indian Edition of the Wire trade fair has been scheduled to be held from 27th to 29th November in Mumbai, India. The previous edition of Wire India was held in 2022, and saw the participation of several Indian industry majors.
