HFCL Wins Rs. 2,666 Cr. RVNL Order for BharatNet Phase-III Project
HFCL Limited has secured an order worth Rs. 2,666.09 crore for the supply of telecom equipment under the BharatNet Phase-III Project. The company has received this order from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for the Uttar Pradesh (West) Telecom Circle.
According to HFCL’s stock exchange filing, scope of work includes the supply of telecom equipment and related accessories, along with the installation and commissioning of the supplied equipment. As part of the project, HFCL will also be responsible for setting up the Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) telecom network.
The contract comprises a two-year implementation period, followed by a 10-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) period, which includes a one-year warranty period.
BharatNet Phase-III aims to connect 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats across the country, with each Gram Panchayat receiving a minimum bandwidth of 100 Mbps.
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), traditionally the construction arm of the Ministry of Railways, is actively operating as a nodal infrastructure agency for the Indian Government’s BharatNet Phase III project and tasked with building and maintaining rural broadband infrastructure.
