GE Vernova T&D India Wins Rs. 500 Cr. Orders from PGCIL
GE Vernova T&D India Limited has secured three orders collectively worth approximately Rs. 500 Cr. for supplying transformers and reactors to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).
As per these orders, GE Vernova will be responsible for supplying and installing of 765 KV-class transformers and reactors of various capacities to PGCIL. These orders are expected to be executed within 36 months.
GE Vernova T&D India’s order inflow in the first 9 months of FY25 stood at Rs.7,787 crore, up from Rs.4,456 crore of order inflow during the corresponding period in FY24.
PGCIL is procuring these transformers & reactors in bulk. During an investor conference on 5th February 2025, Mr. R.K Tyagi, CMD of POWERGRID, mentioned that in order to counter procurement delays of high voltage equipment including transformers and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), PGCIL is opting for bulk procurement of standardized equipment.
