Dalmia Cement Deploys e-Trucks at Its Plant Near Rourkela

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a leading Indian Cement major has launched its e-Truck initiative with deployment of 2 e-trucks.

It is part of the proposed 22 high-capacity electric trucks to be used by Dalmia Cement. Balance 20 e-trucks will be put to use before the end of FY’22. The company has commissioned 2 charging stations at its Rajgangpur Unit and three more charging stations to be installed by March’22.

The trucks are being supplied by IPLTech Electric, an Indian startup.

Dalmia Cement said it will be plying the trucks to transport slag, a major raw material for cement manufacturing, from the facility of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at Rourkela to its cement manufacturing unit in Rajgangpur.
