C&S Electric Launches Packaged Substation with EV Charging

C&S Electric, one of the leading manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment in India has launched prefabricated package substations with EV charging solutions.

C&S Electric has termed this offering as one-stop solution for the entire EV Charging Ecosystem.

The solution comprises of a type tested package substation having a medium voltage switchgear compartment, a distribution transformer compartment and a low voltage switchboard compartment. This is accompaied by EV Charging module with a connected roof and on a three side open platform.

The system comes with a mobile-based app on which EV charging stations could be located and its availability can also be checked.

Specifications and Benefits of C&S’ EV Charging Substation

The substation is available in two ratings 11 KV / 433 V AC and 22 KV/433 V AC. It has three compartments: MV (Medium Voltage is 240V to 360V), LV (Low Voltage is 120V and under) for power output and Transformer for power input. The transformer is available in both types, dry and oil. The transformer compartment is provided with ventilation openings and optional floor mesh.

The charging module has AC charger ranging from 7.4 KW to 22 KW. The DC charger ranges from 30 to 360 KW. These are available in two models: single gun (Charging Point) and dual gun.

C&S Electric states that this is a cost-effective and economical solution. This could be helpful in installing an end to end EV Charging solution without disturbing any existing substation.
