World’s 2nd largest Operation Control Center for Dedicated Freight Corridor in India
Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) will soon be launching India’s largest and world’s second-largest, state-of-the-art Operation Control Center. The control center is located at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh dedicated to the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC).
It shall be the command center of the EDFC, which is 1,856 km long. The center is spread across 4.20 acres of land with a total built-up area of 13,030 sq meter.
The center is equipped with solar power plus rainwater harvesting and has a green building rating of GRIHA 4 (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment). The center developed by Alstom’s Bangalore centre has integrated Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and Train Management System (TMS).
