Adani Transmission Secures Rs. 1,300 Cr. Smart Meters Installation Order for Mumbai

Adani Transmission Ltd., a part of the Adani Group, has secured an order worth about Rs. 1,300 crore from Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST). This order is for installation and maintenance of 10.8 lakh smart meters in Mumbai.

Adani Transmission will install these smart meters in a period of 30 months followed by a 90-month maintenance period. This project will be executed on a Design-Build-Finance-Own-Operate-Transfer (DBFOOT) basis. Adani will also set up the associated communication and cloud infrastructure for these smart meters.

These smart meters will help BEST to manage electric connections remotely. Additionally, these meters will offer net metering service for establishments with installed solar power generation facilities.
