IGL to Invest 1,100 Cr on CNG Stations, Pipelines; 100 Cr on Gas Meters Factory
The government owned natural gas distributor Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL) announced an investment of Rs 1,100 crore in FY21, mostly in setting up CNG dispensing stations and laying piped gas lines to households and industries. The target is to add another 60 CNG stations in FY21.
IGL has also announced plans to set up a factory to manufacture gas meters in National Capital Region. The company will invest about Rs 100 Cr. for setting up the unit with a capacity of 10 lakh meters annually. Out of the Rs. 100 Cr. budget, Rs. 50 crore would be spent on plant and machinery and the remaining in land and building.
