Coal India to Invest Rs. 3,370 Cr. for Constructing 21 Railway Sidings
State-owned Coal India (CIL) has planned to construct 21 railway sidings in four of its subsidiaries at an estimated cost of Rs 3,370 crore. At present CIL has 152 rail sidings and with this it shall have a total of 173. It is expected that the proposed railway sidings will be commissioned by FY24.
Out of 21 proposed sidings, South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) shall have 10, Central Coalfields (CCL) shall account for 6, Eastern Coalfields (ECL) with 3 and Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) shall have 2.
