Bajaj Electricals to Enter Solar Solutions Business

Bajaj Electricals Limited, an Indian consumer electrical equipment manufacturer, has announced plans to foray into the solar solutions business as a new and additional line under its Lighting Solutions segment. The company shared this information in its stock filing dated 17th December 2025.

Highlighting the expected benefits of the new business, Bajaj Electricals mentioned that the initiative is targeted at supporting the expansion and diversification of its business operations while driving sustainable growth. However, the company has not disclosed the investment required to launch the solar solutions business. Initially, Bajaj Electricals plans to roll out the products and services and assess market response before finalising the investment outlay. The investment will be determined based on factors such as the scale of operations, market opportunities, and operational requirements.

Bajaj Electricals operates two key business segments: Consumer Products and Lighting Solutions. The Consumer Products segment includes fans, water heaters, room heaters, air coolers, and kitchen appliances marketed under brands such as Bajaj, Morphy Richards, and Nirlep. The Lighting Solutions segment comprises consumer lighting products such as LED lamps, as well as professional lighting offerings including luminaires and street lighting solutions.
