Vidya Metal Expands Aluminium Winding Wire Capacity to 25,000 TPA

Vidya Metal Manufacturing Company Private Limited is a flagship company of the VMI Group, and a major manufacturer of aluminium winding wires, copper wires and strips.

The company has increased its aluminium winding wire and strip manufacturing capacity to 25,000 Tonnes Per Annum (TPA) from 18,000 TPA.

Vidya Metal Commissions its Bandapur Plant

This expansion follows commissioning of the company’s new manufacturing facility in Bandapur, in Khairthal-Tijara district of Rajasthan. This plant will manufacture super-enamelled rectangular aluminium strips, round wires and fibreglass-insulated conductors.

Commenting on this expansion, Mr. Abhinav Goyal, Group Director, VMI Group, said, “At 25,000 TPA we can commit volumes and delivery schedules to the largest OEM programmes in the country while holding the enamel quality and dimensional consistency...”.

There is no specific capex investment publicly disclosed by the company for the new Bandapur plant.

Vidya Metal’s Existing Manufacturing Facilities

In addition to the newly commissioned facility, Vidya Metal operates two more manufacturing plants in Bhiwadi and Pathredi, Rajasthan, supporting its diverse product portfolio and production capabilities.

The Bhiwadi facility manufactures a range of products, including copper rods, rectangular copper flats, aluminium wires, aluminium strips and winding wires. The plant has a manufacturing capacity of approximately 10,000 TPA.

The company’s Pathredi facility specialises in Aluminium Conductors, Aluminium Winding Wires, and Aluminium Strips at an estimated capacity of 8,000 TPA.
