Bharat Dynamics’ Building 500 Cr. Naval Systems Plant in Andhra

Bharat Dynamics Limited, a manufacturer of ammunition and missile systems, is developing a naval defence systems manufacturing facility in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh. This new plant will be developed with an estimated investment of Rs. 500 crore.

The aforementioned facility of Bharat Dynamics will primarily manufacture underwater weapon systems, torpedoes, mines and associated naval systems. Further, this plant will be spread across 160 acres and generate about 3,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Construction of the plant is expected to be completed in a period of four years.

According to the company, the new plant is being established to meet the growing requirements of the Indian Navy for advanced underwater weapon systems and naval combat systems.
