Waaree Energies books 2210 MW of Solar Module Orders
Waaree Energies Ltd., India’s largest manufacturer of solar power modules, has recently won domestic and overseas orders pertaining to the supply of solar modules. However, Waaree has not disclosed the names of the companies that have placed the orders.
For the domestic order, Waaree Energies will supply 210 MW of solar modules to a company that owns, develops, and operates renewable power projects in India. Further, this order should comply with Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) policy, i.e., the solar cells and the modules must be manufactured in India. The supply of solar modules in this order is expected to be carried out in FY27.
As for the overseas order, Waaree Energies will supply 2000 MW of solar modules to a company based in United States. The said company is a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across United States. In this order, the supply of solar modules will be carried out from 2028 to 2030.
