PTC India Appoints Manoj Kumar Jhawar as its new CMD

PTC India Limited has appointed Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD).

Dr. Kumar earned B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Ujjain in 1988 and then completed M.E in Industrial Engineering and Management in 1990 from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He also became an associate member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India in 1999. Dr. Kumar completed Ph.D in Management Sciences in 2016 from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.

PTC India’s new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) has over 10 years of experience of working in senior leadership roles in the power distribution sector. He began his career in 1989 as an Assistant Engineer at the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board. In 2002, he was promoted to Deputy Director (Budget) and held the position for over two years. In 2004, Dr. Kumar joined Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd., where he served for more than 18 years in several key roles, including Joint Director (Finance), Chief Financial Officer, and Director (Commercial). In May 2023, Dr. Kumar joined KIOCL Ltd. (formerly Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd.) as its Director (Finance), where he served till January 2024 before joining PTC India.
