Vindhya Telelinks to Expand Cable Manufacturing Capacity at Rewa with E-Beam Technology

Vindhya Telelinks will be expanding cable manufacturing capacity at its Rewa plant in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 55.10 crore. This expansion includes increasing solar cable manufacturing capacity, and deploying requisite equipment for electrical submersible pump cables and coaxial cables. This expansion will be funded through term loans and internal accruals.

The company will expand its solar PV cable manufacturing capacity to 1,03,000 Km per year, up from the current capacity of 67,000 Km per year. Vindhya Telelinks will deploy Electron-beam (e-beam) cross-linking technology for solar cable manufacturing.

Vindhya Telelinks will also install equipment capable of manufacturing 2,000 Km of electrical submersible pump cables and 6,000 Km of coaxial cables per annum at Rewa.

Explaining the rationale behind this expansion, Vindhya Telelinks stated that this expansion is in response of the growing demand for solar PV cables in the renewable energy sector, as well as the increasing demand for electrical submersible pump cables and coaxial cables in both domestic and international markets.

The expansion is expected to be completed by FY26.

In Q3 FY-25, Vindhya Telelinks’ quarterly top-line stood at Rs. 1,037.12 crore. The company’s cable revenue grew by 40% on Year-over-Year (YoY) basis.
