GE Vernova T&D India’s Q2 Order Inflow Quadruples YoY

General Electric (GE) Vernova T&D India Limited* reported an order inflow of Rs. 4,682.4 crore during Q2 of FY-25 which is over 4 times of its Q2 FY-24 order inflow of Rs. 1,081.6 crore. This information was shared by the company in its stock filing dated 8th November 2024.

*Renamed from GE T&D India Ltd. during the company’s Annual General Meeting held on 4th September 2024.

As of 30th September 2024, the company’s order book stood at Rs. 9,835.5 crore.

Some of the projects secured by GE Vernova T&D India in Q2 FY-25 include orders from Grid Solutions SAS (France) and Grid Solutions Middle East FZE (Dubai) for supplying high-voltage equipment from GE Vernova’s manufacturing plants in Padappai and Hosur, Chennai. Other major orders of the company included those from Powergrid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for the supply of 765 KV power transformers and shunt reactors. Apart from these orders, the company received several other orders for supplying electrical components for substations such as power transformers and gas-insulated switchgear of different ratings during the quarter ended 30th September 2024.

Commenting on this growth, Mr. Sushil Kumar, said “This quarter was a very robust quarter for us in terms of order booking”. He added that, in terms of the breakup of orders in hand, which amounted to about Rs. 9,800 crore, approximately 62% of the orders were from private segment customers, about 32% were from central utilities and PSUs, and around 6% were from state utilities in the overall portfolio.
