KEC International Limited [NSE: KEC, BOM: 532714], an Indian EPC major, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY27.

The company reported a flat revenue of Rs. 5,023.54 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs. 5,022.88 crore in Q1 FY26.

PAT for Q1 FY27 dropped to 72.62 Cr. in comparison to 124.6 Cr. for Q1 FY26, a steep YoY fall of 41.81%.

Correspondingly, Earnings Per Share (EPS) were Rs. 2.73 in Q1 FY27 from Rs. 4.68 in the same period last year.

QoQ Comparison of KEC’s Financials: Q1 FY27 vs. Q4 FY26

On a Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) basis, the company’s revenue declined by 21.38% from Rs.6,389.75 crore reported in Q4 FY26. However, PAT slumped by 62.33% compared to Rs. 192.79 crore in the previous quarter.

T&D: In Q1 of FY27, T&D segment brought in Rs. 3,217 crore of segmental revenue, against Rs. 3,157 crore in Q1 of FY26. Therefore, there has been a slight YoY increase by 2% in the company’s Q1 T&D revenue.

The company, in its investor presentation, reported an order inflow of approximately Rs. 3,600 crore across India, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. The company also secured its first transmission line order for the evacuation of power to a data centre from a private developer.

Civil: During Q1 of FY27, the company reported Rs. 993 crore as revenue from its Civil segment against Rs. 940 crore earned during Q1 of FY26. This shows a growth of 6% YoY.

Transportation: The company reported revenue of Rs. 259 crore from its Transportation segment in Q1 FY27. This reflects a YoY decrease of 45% from Rs. 471 crore earned by the company from this vertical during Q1 of FY26.

Oil & Gas Pipelines: KEC reported revenue of Rs. 117 crore from this business in Q1 of FY27. This reflects a substantial YoY increase of 93% from this vertical’s Rs. 60 crore revenue logged during Q1 of FY26.

Giving an update about this segment, KEC mentioned, ‘the Oil & Gas portfolio will be integrated into our Civil – Hydrocarbon segment, enabling a unified approach towards hydrocarbon projects’.

Renewables: This segment of the company clocked in a revenue of Rs. 56 crore during Q1 FY27 against Rs. 136 crore during Q1 FY26, representing a YoY decrease of 58%.

The company mentioned that KEC is executing solar and wind energy projects with a cumulative capacity of over 600 MW and has secured new orders worth Rs. 800 crore across the wind and solar segments.

Cables & Conductors: KEC’s Cables & Conductors business segment quarterly revenue increased by 57% YoY to Rs. 601 crore during Q1 of FY27 from Rs. 383 crore in Q1 of FY26.

Mentioning the growth in this segment, KEC stated that the company will commence production of Elastomeric Cables in Q2 FY27, followed by the commissioning of its E-Beam plant in Q3 FY27.
