Vindhya Telelinks Q3 FY-24 Financials: Revenue Up 70%, EPC Revenue Doubles YoY

Vindhya Telelinks Ltd. [NSE: VINDHYATEL, BOM: 517015], part of the MP Birla Group, has announced its financials for Q3 of the ongoing FY-24.

Vindhya Telelinks’ standalone revenue from operations stood at Rs. 1,083.74 crore during Q3 of FY-24. The corresponding Profit After Tax (PAT) of the company during Q3 of FY-24 was reported as Rs. 35.92 crore.

Further, Vindhya Telelinks’ Q3 Earning Per Share (EPS) was Rs. 30.31 for FY-24.

On a Year-over-Year (YoY) basis Vindhya Telelinks’ Q3 top line witnessed a remarkable increase by 69.79% to Rs. 1,083.74 crore in FY-24 from Rs. 638.27 crore during FY-23.

Vindhya’s Q3 PAT also followed a YoY upward trajectory, growing to Rs. 68.76 crore in FY-24, which is 2.43 times the company’s profit of Rs. 28.28 crore recorded during FY-23.

QoQ Comparison of Vindhya Telelinks’ Financial Results: Q3 FY-24 vs. Q2 FY-24

Vindhya Telelinks’ revenue jumped by 25.73% on a Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis from Rs. 861.99 crore clocked during Q2 of FY-24.

Considering the company’s Q3 FY-24 profit, an impressive 47.08% QoQ increase is evident from Rs. 46.75 crore logged for Q2 of FY-24.

Vindhya Telelinks’ Segment-wise Revenue: Q3 FY23 vs. Q3 FY24

Cables: Vindhya Telelinks’ cables business earned it a revenue of Rs. 150.27 crore in Q3 of FY-24, which is YoY 14.93% lower than the Rs. 176.64 crore revenue reported for Q3 of FY-23.

On the whole, this segment accounted for merely 13.71% of the company’s gross revenue*. Interestingly, Vindhya Telelinks’ cable segment’s contribution to its gross revenue has been dwindling. In Q2 of FY-24, this segment contributed 17.29% of the company’s gross revenue, and this figure stood at 17.71% during Q1 of FY-24.

*Gross Revenue of the company refers to the sum of segmental revenues prior to the deduction of inter-segmental revenue.

EPC: Revenue from this segment has been comprising the bulk of Vindhay Telelinks’ gross revenue. In Q3 of FY-24, this segment brought in Rs. 945.85 crore or 86.29% of Vindhya’s gross revenue.

Further, on a YoY basis, Vindhya’s Q3 EPC revenue witnessed a massive increase, almost doubling from its Rs. 474.01 crore EPC revenue which was reported for Q3 of FY-23.

This suggests the company’s increased emphasis on its EPC business, which comprises telecom projects, Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH) projects, power projects, gas pipeline projects, and LED lighting solutions.

Vindhya’s Stock Suffers 3% Despite Increase in Revenue & Profits

Vindhya Telelinks’ share price took a 2.9% hit after announcement of its Q3 FY-24 results. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 2,794.80 apiece the day before Vindhya posted its financials against Rs. 2,711.35 apiece on the day of announcement of results.
