Varsity Instruments Launches New Wire Harness Facility
Varsity Instruments Private Limited, Hyderabad based Wire Harness* manufacturer has opened a new harness manufacturing facility at Hardware Park, besides GMR Hyderabad International Airport, Shamshabad, Telangana.

The facility shall cover designing and manufacturing of cable harnesses used in applications for Electronic Warfare Weapon Systems, including missiles. The total investment in the facility has been ₹30 Cr. and is spread over 44,000 sq ft area.
The facility was inaugurated by Rama Manohara Babu, Director, Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Hyderabad. Varsity Instruments plans to employ approximately 100 people in the new facility by January 2020. Also, the company has Rs. 100 Cr. worth orders to be delivered up to 2021.
As reported in Hindubusiness line dated 14th October 2019, Niranjan Kandukuri, Managing Director, Varsity Instruments mentioned that Varsity is celebrating 50 years of excellence in the industry and investment in the new manufacturing facility at Shamshabad coincides with it.
In the same article, he said “We are associated with all mission-critical projects in aerospace for decades now providing customised high-quality cable harnesses and solutions for our customers.”
Expansion Plans: The company plans to open another dedicated cable harness plant in Bangalore by 2022-23, with an investment of Rs. 50 Cr.
About the Company: Varsity Instruments was established in 1968 and as of 1st September 2019 it has harnessed 5,256 Km of Cable. The Company produces and markets wires, cable harness, data bus couplers, circular connectors, transitions, and measurement components.
