UltraTech Cement to Expand capacity in Andhra

UltraTech Cement has announced its plan to expand cement manufacturing capacity from 9 million tonne per annum to 14 million Tpa. Upgradation will be done at its cement manufacturing unit in Anantapur district and Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

The project will entail expansion of clinker capacity from 6.5 million Tpa to 10 million Tpa and waste heat recovery power plant capacity from 20 MW to 36 MW. Estimated expenditure will be Rs 1,250 crore and this project will generate additional employment for 150 persons.

Work on the project is expected to commence by February 2021, with completion in March 2022.
