UltraTech Cement Expansion and New Waste Heat Recovery Project at Chandrapur

UltraTech Cement a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Group is planning to expand the capacity of Korpana coal-fired power plant in Chandrapur, Maharashtra from 10 MW to 15 MW and has received environment clearance for it.

Along with this the company has received environment clearance from the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) to set up a new unit of waste heat recovery (WHR) based power project with a capacity of 16 MW.

The combined project cost is expected to be Rs 140 crore and order to develop the project could be placed by February 2020.
