UltraTech Appoints Himanshu Desai as Head of Production for LT Power Cables

UltraTech Cement Limited has appointed Mr. Himanshu Desai as Head of Production for Low Tension (LT) Power Cables. This information was shared by Mr. Desai in his recent LinkedIn post.

Mr. Desai is a Mechanical Engineer from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He earned the degree in 1996. After completing his graduation, he further completed a Diploma in Business Management from Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research in 1998.

After his educational journey, Mr. Desai started his career in 2001 as Senior Executive at Usha Martin Limited, a manufacturer of wire ropes, LRPC strands, wires and cables. He worked with Usha Martin for six years, and later in 2009, Mr. Desai joined KEI Industries. He worked at KEI Industries for more than 16 years in different roles, including Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager.

Now, he is serving as Head of Production (LT Power Cables) at UltraTech Cement. The company is part of the Aditya Birla Group and is India’s largest manufacturer of grey cement, white cement, and ready-mix concrete (RMC). Earlier in February 2025, UltraTech Cement announced its entry into the cables & wire industry.
