Ashok Leyland Secures Defence Order Worth Rs. 800 Cr.

Ashok Leyland, part of the Hinduja Group, has won a defence order worth a total of Rs. 800 crore from the Indian Army. The company shared this information in its press release dated 17th July 2023.

The awarded contract includes the supply of Field Artillery Tractor (FAT 4×4) and Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV 6×6) specialized vehicles to be employed by the Artillery Regiment of Army for towing light and medium guns respectively. Both these vehicle platforms are indigenously developed and designed by Ashok Leyland especially for Indian Armed forces. The vehicles will be supplied over the course of the next 12 months.
